This sweet romantic comedy reunites "Sleepless In Seattle" stars Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. He's the owner of a bookstore chain; she's the woman he falls for online. Both are unaware that she runs the little bookshop his company is trying to shut down. Someone you pass on the street may already be the love of your life.
Can you imagine ... In 1995 we started a little bit with email, 1995 ... it's (while rewriting this piece - 2013) only 18 years ago we started of emailing, goovy names, aliases and slow modems to connect online and wait for hours to get a few KB's over the phone line.
I saw this movie on March 7th 1999 in Amsterdam. And really, what has changed (next to whats app / messenger) ... not so much, all looks nicer, bit quicker but the idea is still the same ... and I'm sure that people wait for the answers in the same manner ... :-)
