Finallement le vin de 2004 est arrivé!

Muscadet is a region in France near the mouth of the Loire river. While in the 1600s this was known for its red wines, cold winters killed those vines in the early 1700s and it was replanted with Melon de Bourgogne, a hardy white variety. The best known region, producing 80% of the wine, is Muscadet de Sevre-et-Maine. This is named for two rivers in the area. Muscadet is unusual in that the grape is so flavorless that many producers let the wine sit on the lees all winter, hoping to absort some extra flavor. This also gives the wine a bit of carbonization and life. The wine is very light, a bit tangy, and a small bit sparkly. It goes well with seafood and often has a light, green apple flavor. If the words 'sur lie' are on the label it means that the wine has been allowed to rest on its lees (dead yeast cells) for some time after fermentation, imparting a touch of richness to the otherwise dry and steely wine. Very anxious to see how my wine tastes this year. The first bottle is already opened, not on tempreature yet but he ... sometimes I can't wait and who can blame me for trying. This weekend I really take some time to do a proper tasting, for now ... nothing wrong, absolutely good wine this year. For all my friends out there, yes it's time to have a drink.

Café Anno 1890 - Amstelveen Looks small from the outside but is bigger than it looks. Inside there are three bars so no need for waiting for your drinks, a small menucard with nice Saté.

After diner it transforms into a bar. Mixed music from popular to real Dutch ... to know what it is you have to see it for yourself ...

I've never seen smoked "mozzarella" before, I bought it this afternoon (2005, may 7th), will taste it this weekend, I'm curious ...



The ScamorzaThe Scamorza cheese is a typical italian cheese. It's a very firm, slightly salty mozzarella like cheese. Scamorze, which contains about 44 percent milk fat, has a creamy white color and a mild, nutty flavor. It's sold in small ovals or gourd shapes and can be smoked. Scamorza Cheese is chewier than mozzarella and not as moist. Scamorze can be used in much the same way as mozzarella generally as a table cheese or in cooking.

The food was excellent again ... Michel Lambermon's eigenwijze kooktheater is a restaurant that's housed in an old brewery dated from 1612 in Haarlem situated next to the river Spaarne.

There's no menu in this restaurant but he has every day 10 dishes you can choose from. He serves them every half hour and you can choose to join the course or skip that one. The price is for every dish the same € 8,75 en he offers an accompanied wine by the glas for € 4,75. Every dish is a small painting and everything has great taste. If you choose to stop at any time of course you can get the cheese (9th course) or the dessert (10th course).

From duck to fish back to meat, everything was combined in the nice dishes, we ate an average of 4 till 5 dishes, make a good selection because 5 is pretty much and you wanted to taste it all ... but Michel where were you?
