Airline meals

There was a mum who asked her son what he ate on the plane over. Good question ... he took a photo the next time, one photo led to another and before he knew he asked people to send their pictures and http://www.airlinemeals.net was born. Marco 't Hart (34 years of age) is the founder of the website, and the son mentioned above. The flight was from Turkey to the Netherlands. So for all your people out there, take that picture, make it a very nice one, one to remember and you will be "awarded" with the "Meal of the Week" and that means your picture for seven days on the home page. I'll be flying to the United States in September so I'll make a few pictures ...

Geluk Paul.

P.s. Thanks Hélène for the tip! -x-

Culture Bière - Paris / France

BIENVENUE CHEZ VOUS

Culture Bière
65 Champs Elysées
Paris

bar ~ restaurant ~ lounge ~ boutique ~ galerie

Heineken has opened a one-off concept store in Paris. The three-level unit, Culture Biere, is intended to kick-start the flaccid French beer market. The store, which includes a bar, beer lounge, restaurant and boutique, was opened yesterday (7 July) on the Champs-Elysees. Heineken hopes up to 1m people a year will visit the unit. Speaking to Dow Jones Newswires, Didier Debrosse, the head of Heineken in France, said: "Beer has an image in France that is not very good. This place offers a different way to talk about beer." Debrosse said that the volume of beer consumed in the French market has fallen by 25% in the last 25 years. "Our goal is to stabilise the market" over the next ten years, said Debrosse. The Dutch brewer has no plans to open more Culture Biere stores.

Cafe de Jaren - Amsterdam

Cafe de Jaren

Nice weekend with my old neighbor Carla. I showed her a bit of Amsterdam and of course we had some food along the way.

Café de Jaren is a perfect place for a sandwich during lunch time, perfect situated along the Amstel, always slow waiters but the place is on out of a million. Two terraces, one next to the water and one on the first floor, beautiful situated and especially with nice weather. The Tuna Salad is alright but for enjoying the Amstel it's perfect. For those who own a boat a perfect place to stop for a refreshment.
